Once you have decided to improve upon some of the physical changes associated with pregnancy with a mommy makeover, one of the next questions is the timing of your surgery. While you can choose to undergo the procedure at any time during the year, there are some personal factors to consider to ensure that your recovery is relaxed and you feel as rejuvenated as your body looks.
- Time away from work or other commitments. If you are a working mother or involved in volunteer activities during the school year, you will want to choose a time that you can step down from those responsibilities for at least a couple of weeks during your initial recovery. For many women, convenient times include winter holidays, spring break, and summer vacation.
- Upcoming special event. If you have a special scheduled occasion, such as the wedding of a friend or a family event, you will want to schedule your procedure at least three months in advance of that date so you can have much of your recovery behind you by the big day.
Ultimately, the best time of year for your mommy makeover will be a personal choice depending largely upon your work and other personal responsibilities and family schedule.
