Continued Excellence As a Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
In December 2017, Dr. Jay Orringer became one of few board certified plastic surgeons who chose to maintain board certification in general surgery through a third re-certifying examination. Until 2018, it was required that this examination be successfully passed every 10 years, in order to remain board certified in general surgery. In so doing, Dr. Orringer has maintained double board certification status.
He believes that having an understanding of breast diseases and their related treatment procedures from the perspective of the general surgeon can only improve the results of the plastic surgical procedures in which he specializes. Dr. Orringer is well-known for his breast reconstructions, breast reductions, cosmetic breast augmentation, and breast lift procedures throughout Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica and areas of California.
