The upper part of your face has a significant impact on the way you convey emotion to the people around you. This is particularly true of the forehead region. As part of the aging process, you may begin to experience sagging of your brows. You may find that people are frequently asking why you’re tired or angry, when, in fact, you are not.
A brow lift, also referred to as a forehead lift, can potentially significantly improve these signs of aging in the forehead region. You can receive individualized recommendations regarding your brow lift treatment plan by speaking with Dr. Jay Orringer in person. Please contact our Beverly Hills office to schedule a brow lift consultation.
Benefits of a Brow Lift
A brow lift can potentially provide a pleasing improvement in your upper facial appearance producing a look that is more rested and youthful. Dr. Orringer may recommend a brow lift to potentially:
- Lift heavy or droopy eyebrows and open up the eye region
- Create the appearance of a less heavy upper eyelid by lifting forehead tissue off of the eyelid.
- Reposition sagging or drooping brow line
- Reduce the appearance of forehead creases, furrows, and other signs of aging which can make you look sad, angry, or tired
- Improve the appearance of frown lines
- Rejuvenate the forehead region
Your Brow Lift Procedure
Dr. Orringer takes an individualized approach to all brow lift procedures, and he will tailor your treatment plan to your unique situation, goals, and concerns. In general, he performs three different brow lift techniques:
- Minimal incision endoscopic brow lift (this is often Dr. Orringer’s preferred brow lift technique)
- Standard brow lift
- Hairline brow lift
With a standard brow lift, the incision is either made across the top of the scalp or along the hairline. Dr. Orringer will elevate your brow and often modify the muscles in the region in order to potentially achieve a more youthful appearance.
A hairline brow lift may be done in a situation where the hairline is already high and it is desirable to avoid further elevation. On occasion, this approach can be used to actually lower the hairline slightly while still elevating the brows.
In some instances, Dr. Orringer may recommend eyelid surgery or a facelift in conjunction with your brow lift to potentially achieve enhanced results.
